The Sea Caves System

The Blue Caves feature a series of limestone arches known for a glowing optical illusion.

These sea caves sit along the northwest coast of Zakynthos. Sunlight refracting through the clear water hits the white seabed, creating a bright turquoise glow. The effect is visible in depths of up to 4 to 5 meters.

You can only access the arches by sea. The caves have a maximum clearance of 4 meters. Book a boat with under 50 seats to physically enter them.
